Tax Bracket Racing -- Super Street 1987 Ford Thunderbird
The Tax Bracket Racing purchased the 1987 Ford Thunderbird formerly run by Vinnie Cicerale for competition in Super Street for the 2004 racing season and beyond.
The tube chassis car is powered by a 467 cubic inch big block Ford engine built and maintained by 1996 Division 1 Super Street Champion Glenn Winzer. The powerplant,
which has pushed the car to a best run on 9.60 seconds at upwards of 130 miles per hour, is mated to a Ford C4 three-speed transmission that gets shifts twice
down track. The combination is good enough to propel Vinnie to a runner-up finish in Division 1 Super Street points in 2006.
Thanks to a Biondo Racing Products Mega 450 delay box and a Dedenbear throttle stop, the car is slowed down to run the 10.90 index required for Super Street.
