Here is Frankie taking the new Tax Bracket Racing Ed Quay Super Comp dragster down the track for the first time at Atco Raceway.

Motor builder Gil Davis helps the team swap the engine over from the old dragster to the new one.

Frankie is seen here sizing up the cockpit of the new dragster.

Part of their routine, Papa Frank asks Frankie one last time if everything is in order before Frankie rolls to the starting line for yet another blast down the dragstrip in the dragster.

Frank Sr. plays around with the dashboard while Frankie watches and Gil Davis directs. According to Frankie, yes, Dad can fix anything with duct tape!

With most of the parts being transferred from the old dragster to the new one, the Tax Bracket Racing team set about to taking off what was needed from the Pro Start hardtail car.

Here is Gil Davis undoing everything that held the 481 big-block securely in the chassis of the old Super Comp car. Many thanks and lots of gratitude go out to Tom Ciccarone, who graciously lent the team space and a few helping hands to get the new car ready for the season.

Before each pass down the Atco Raceway quarter mile, Frankie made sure to check the rear tire pressure.

During the off season, the team’s 1994 Pro Start Super Comp dragster was handed off to new owners, who plan on competing in Competition Eliminator with the car.

While the old dragster may be gone, she certainly won’t be forgotten.
