Vinnie stepped out of the Jr. Dragster ranks and into the full size ranks in 2003, taking over driving duties of the Misfits sponsored Super Street Thunderbird owned at the time by Scott Gardner. Vinnie also got behind the wheel of the team's Monte Carlo, which was bought during the off season from John Zulla.

The Monte Carlo became a part of the Tax Bracket Racing stable in 2003. After Frankie borrowed late in the season in 2002, Vinnie drove the car to a win at the 2003 Division 1 Bracket Finals and the Sportsman National Championship.

The Tax Bracket Racing team at Pomona and the NHRA Finals for the second straight year.
