After running his Nova all of 2000, Frankie made his debut in the team's Super Comp car in 2001, running a limited schedule.

After numerous tries, Vinnie finally scored a win in the Race of Champions event held at the Division 1 Jr. Drag Racing league Championship event at Mason-Dixon Dragway in 2001.
